The story behind no. 8
Bread from no.8 began trading in September 2020, using skills Jon developed and acquired from experienced artisan bakers. These skills were applied to numerous home bakes before being used commercially.
What’s special about the bread?
Jon uses organic flour and grain from farms and mills as close to the bakery as possible, as well as freshly milled flour milled just hours before being used to make the dough.
The inspiration
The inspiration for starting the bakery was the joy and satisfaction of creating and baking things for other people, using the best of what’s available locally.
