Sophie
Sophie has an artistic background and has enjoyed practising various forms of art. She has been handcrafting polymer clay jewellery since 2006 and started Créations Cristalline in 2009. Her first book "Tout sur les bijoux en polymère" ('Everything about polymer clay jewellery') was also published in 2009.
Her decision to work with polymer clay was based on her love for the colours which the clay brings to life and because she likes the floral designs made possible with this clay.
She shapes the polymer clay by hand to produce different effects, motifs and beads for one-off pieces or short series.
What is polymer clay?
Polymer clay is a type of modeling clay. Although it does not usually contain clay materials, it is worked like mineral clay: Sophie works it by hand before putting it into the oven to harden.
