Silversmithing and enamelling
Fabrication process
The design process can begin with a rough sketch, but the pieces usually develop on the workbench during the fabrication process.
The enamelling process allows layers of enamel to be built up with different colours. There are many different processes and techniques of enamelling; Katie uses the sifting, stencils and sgrafattio methods of enamelling.
