A professional embroiderer

Marion

Nuaison is a young brand of embroidered textile items created in 2023 by Marion Dupraz, a professional embroiderer.

Originally from the Pyrénnées-Orientales (near the sea), she is passionate about Art and the History of Fashion, and invents designs inspired by the natural elements of the South of France, combined with a style close to Art Deco.

“For "Nuaison", I've developed a range of designs inspired by the natural elements of the south of France and the Art Deco style. The colours that embody my world are different blues and ecru tones, even gold.”

Limiting the impact on the environment

In order to limit her impact on our environment, Marion creates according to what comes in, designing her creations exclusively with raw materials from left-over, unused stocks.

Nuaison

After training in fashion design and extensive professional experience in embroidery as a textile customiser, Marion decided to develop her project combining textile design and technical embroidery.

Processes and techniques

To make her products, Marion begins by sourcing plain fabrics that are technically compatible with 'industrial' embroidery, as well as supplies that will help her make her products (zips, bias, iron-on, ribbons, etc).

After developing a range of designs inspired by the sea and the Art Deco style, they are redesigned using professional embroidery software and then machine embroidered.

Finally, once the designs have been embellished, she assembles, sews or finishes the elements that make up her creations.
