Exquisite, warm and totally unique drawings, paintings and screenprints
Inspired by plant life, urban spaces and Indian culture
Chitra has a large portfolio of work attesting to her many talents.
Her 'Terra' collection includes screenprints inspired by Indian landscapes, forest ecology, mythology and architecture, while her paintings and drawings (such as the one pictured) are inspired by nature, woods and landscapes.
Her archived work 'Eve', 'Constructs' and 'Bell Jar', examine social constructs, roles and expections, and derelict urban spaces.
“I was lucky enough to meet the lovely Chitra in Fig. She is very patient and took the time to tell me all about the other artists and answer my questions. The wonderful colours of her pieces jump out at you from the other side of the shop!”
