Laurent
Originally from Normandy, Laurent completed his Baccalaureate in Applied Arts and went on to study "Design in Ceramics and Glass" at ENSAAMA (Olivier de Serres) in Paris.
Afterwards, he benefitted from travelling and learning from Moroccan craftsmen before obtaining a CAP (vocational training certificate) as a potter at the CFA (School of Ceramics) of Provence in Aubagne.
He opened 500 Degrés in 2003 in the heart of the historic centre of Montpellier with Allison....

Allison
Allison runs the shop and hand paints each piece in the workshop on the ground floor.
Their pieces are designed to be functional for everyday use with loved-ones. Materials include stoneware, porcelain, recycled clay (porcelanic stoneware) and firing clay.
Both Laurent and Allison speak English and French fluently.
