Florence
Florence trained at the school of ceramics in Aubagne and has been making ceramics for 14 years.
After working for many years in glazed clay, she now makes a collection of unique pieces in porcelain.
The fabrication process
She shapes the clay in different ways: throwing, modeling, stamping.
Her handmade illustrations are floral or polka dots.
She highlights them with a ceramic pencil that resists high temperature.
She glazes the inside of her pieces and leaves the outside bare which gives the clay a soft, satiny feel. Then she fires them at 1280°c.
