A lively food and collectors market in the historial Arceaux area with up to 80 stalls
History lovers and food lovers will love this place!
The market and the aqueduct of Saint Clément
The market is right under the ancient Roman aqueduct of Saint Clement - known as 'Les Arceaux' thanks to its elegant arches.
It was designed by Henri Pitot de Launay and inspired by the Gard bridge in the 18th Century to carry water from Saint Clément 14 km south to the Peyrou garden in Montpellier.
The Office de Tourisme organise guided tours of the aqueduct, you can contact them on 04 67 60 60 60.
Fruit and veg, loads of locally made cheese, olive oils and fish, honeys, teas, spices....
Two weekly markets
There is absolutely loads of food at this market! If you don't fancy cooking, you can easily pick up something delicious for lunch or eat as you wander.
The best products all handmade locally by independent artisans and sold at this market are:
- locally made honey from Yoann Colaisseau (pictured below).
- macaroons from L'Atelier d'Eléonore (pictured below).
- herbal teas and CBD products from Lô Saveurs Infuses (pictured here)
The Collectors market (Le Forum des Collectionneurs)
This second hand market takes place right next to the food market every Saturday morning. It's a bit like a flea market and has loads of books among other items like vinyl and childrens toys.
